Our Story

Built from movement.

Waluoo was founded by ICE KANG after opening fitness studios in China, Singapore, and Japan in 2020. Across training floors and yoga spaces, one message kept surfacing: women expected more from close-to-body clothing — more comfort, more accurate sizing, better breathability, and performance that worked with their bodies instead of against them.

01 / The beginning

The need went beyond activewear.

The same frustrations appeared in bras and shapewear. When clothing sits close to the body, small problems with fit, support, fabric, or temperature never feel small.

We listened to women in our studios, our customer community, and conversations across platforms such as Reddit. Different bodies raised different needs — but they all deserved to be heard.

02 / The work behind the wear

From sketch to finished piece.

Waluoo stays close to the work. We move from an idea on paper, to a room full of materials and samples, to a production floor where every piece is made and checked.

01 / Design the idea

A better fit starts with better questions.

Every piece begins with a sketch, a measurement, and a closer look at how it should support real movement.

02 / Shape the details

Ideas become samples in the studio.

We compare fabrics, proportions, colors, and prototypes until the details feel considered on more than one kind of body.

03 / Make it real

Our own production keeps us accountable.

On the factory floor, patterns become finished pieces — then move through our 12-stage quality-control process.

03 / What we heard

Different bodies. Different needs.

01

Fit

Sizing people can trust across different proportions.

02

Comfort

Soft support and freedom of movement close to the body.

03

Breathability

Fabrics that feel considered in warmer conditions.

04

Warmth

Layers that still feel supportive when the weather turns.

04 / How we make

From listening to making.

We develop our products ourselves and manufacture them in our own factory, keeping the process close enough to question, test, and improve. Before a product enters inventory, it passes through a 12-stage quality-control process designed to examine construction, consistency, finish, and overall wearability.

We do not rush a product simply to call it finished.

Product development

Keeping development and manufacturing close lets us keep asking better questions about fit, fabric, and movement.

05 / Independent by design

We are a niche brand by choice.

We stand with people of every race, body type, and identity. We listen to the voices that standard sizing and conventional beauty language too often overlook — and we design with those voices in mind.

Own your shape. Move on your terms.

Your body is not a template. Your clothing should not ask you to become one.
